alti.cernum: new positioning and strategy
Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, 24 February 2011 - Today, alti.cernum (formerly known as the Cernum Brand in the Alti plc) officially presents its new corporate identity and positioning. Not only has the company changed its name and visual identity but it has also adjusted and redefined its market position and its strategy.
The name alti.cernum instantly reveals the merger, which happened in 2007, of two ICT Consultancy companies. The company is both SAP Gold Partner and Microsoft Gold Partner and it delivers end-to-end projects, based on the technologies of the aforementioned partners, to businesses and the public sector.
With the tagline ‘value inspired by technology’, alti.cernum indicates that there’s more to ICT Consultancy than simply providing technological applications.
Gaston Vandenplas, alti.cernum’s managing director, puts it this way: ‘Our technological expertise is strong – hence the two Gold Partnerships – but what really matters is using the technology to create unique concepts and innovative solutions that add real value to our customer’s business. It’s our ambition to continue and grow in this direction.’
In order to realize this, a framework was needed in which inspired people, with the ability to think and work outside the box, felt comfortable.
Denis Van Watermeulen, alti.cernum’s SAP and Business Intelligence director: ‘We started with redesigning our internal organization in order to stimulate this creative and inspiring process. From now on we focus heavily on training and developing skills in our partners’ new applications. Apart from that, our matrix structure stimulates all our competences (marketing & sales, R & D and competence management) to cooperate in order to inspire and trigger the search for new concepts and applications. Both our clients and our employees will benefit from this.’
The company will also start a recruitment program to strengthen its ranks. alti.cernum has an outlined employer value proposition and intends to recruit at least 25 extra consultants, of whom 20 % will be graduates, this year.
The company’s growth will not only realize itself via the existing technologies, alti.cernum is ambitious and wants to expand its service offerings.
David Muyldermans, the Microsoft and JAVA Technologies manager: ‘Within the Technology Group, we currently work with Microsoft .Net, SharePoint and JAVA. Besides that we’re constantly searching for cutting edge solutions by integrating the different technologies, such as SharePoint and Business Objects or by developing JAVA applications on the SAP Netweaver platform.’
alti.cernum’s ambition is to grow 15 % in the next financial year, thanks to a new market positioning and human capital strategies.
